PSSA – Pop School & Stage Academy In London, Chiswick, Beckenham, Clapham

AUTUMN TERM
Autumn Term is Technique term.
Students are split by age groups and rotate around 3 classes each week; singing, acting and dancing.

Singing lessons in London cover pop and musical theatre styles and student channel their inner rock star with microphone technique workshops.

Dance classes are structured to build stamina, flexibility, and strength through a variety of styles such as Street Dance, Lyrical, Charleston and Hip Hop.

Our ‘Acting for Screen’ Drama focus sees students writing, directing and starring in their own short films, building up skills to not only be on camera but also learn what goes on behind it.

We end with a Christmas Showcase for family and friends.

SPRING TERM
Our Summer musical is announced and term begins with 2 weeks of guest workshops led by West End stars direct from the show.

Auditions take place and students are encouraged to perform a song, dance and drama piece for the judging panel of teachers. Casts are announced and classes take the form of rehearsals as we begin to block, choreograph and musically direct the show.

During this term students are treated as a professional cast and are mixed by their roles and scenes in the show rather than age, allowing students to work together and unite as a group, Half Term Workshops In London.

SUMMER TERM
Summer Term means one thing…
iiiiiiiit’s showtime!

Show rehearsals progress to technical rehearsals, costume fittings and dress rehearsals in a local working theatre. We are lucky enough to work in conjunction with Arts Educational School, Sydenham High School and Chelsea Academy to offer state of the art performance venues.

Costumes, scenery, props, radio mics and lighting add the magic touches to our productions and are all provided at no extra cost.

Showtime really is the highlight of our year as students gain firsthand experience of life in the theatre and we see them truly step into their spotlight.
